Hot Star Large Fried Chicken

Last Sunday, my friends and I went to Divisoria to buy cheap stuff and materials. We got so busy to the point that we finished doing our errands at 1:30pm (we forgot to take our lunch at Divisoria) Before going home, we have decided to eat our late lunch at Blue Bay Walk.

My brother suggested that we should eat at Hot Star Large Fried Chicken because he really loved the food there and he told us that the serving there is pretty huge!

Hot Star is a well-known restaurant in Taiwan! (c) Hot Star PH

The restaurant looks very promising. The aesthetics of the restaurant is very appealing as it looks very young and fun! If you look at the left side of the restaurant,  there is an express lane for the people who are busy and want to eat their food on the go.

As we entered the restaurant, we could already see the type of food that they are serving and it is very easy to read.

The price ranges from Php 50-125 (a la carte) and it depends on you if you want to add Php 35 for you to make it a meal (rice with beverage)

After placing your orders, you would be given a device that would vibrate if your order is ready to be served.

We ordered everything in the menu and we only waited 5-10 mins before picking-up our food.

The serving of the food is pretty huge! If you aren't really fond of eating, there is a possibility that you won't finish your order. The food itself is good but it kind of lacks seasoning because there are times when the food is kind of lacklustre and bland and the gravy isn't doing anything to help the food (Salty on salty would sometimes tend to be one dimensional). If only they put a little more salt to the batter, it would make the food even better or they should have been a different sauce (that is slightly acidic) such as soysauce with lime to cut through the flavor and for it to have depth.

Their gulaman ice cream is to die for! It is an innovative way to eat gulaman. It is very refreshing to eat and it is one of the better way to battle the heat here in the Philippines. If only I wasn't that full, I would have eaten 5 servings of their gulaman ice cream! You should not leave Hot Star without eating this.

I recommend Hot Star Large Fried Chicken to people who have large appetite! The servings here could easily fill your stomach. This restaurant is a must-try!
